Book Description

The Princess and Joe Potter is a warm and lively tale set in a busy American factory town, where young Joe Potter — honest, hardworking, and endlessly good-natured — unexpectedly befriends a delicate, pampered little girl known as “the Princess.” Though their worlds could not be more different, Joe’s kindness and steady character help the lonely child discover friendship, courage, and the joy of simple pleasures. As Joe faces hardships at home and challenges at work, the Princess finds her own strength by learning from him. Full of heart, humor, and moral insight, James Otis delivers a gentle, uplifting story about compassion, class, and the quiet heroism found in everyday life.
