About Author

Louise Penny is a Canadian bestselling author celebrated for her Mystery novels featuring Chief Inspector Armand Gamache of the Sûreté du Québec. Born in Toronto in 1958, Penny worked for many years as a radio broadcaster with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) before turning to fiction later in life.

She achieved international acclaim with the Inspector Gamache series, set largely in the fictional village of Three Pines. Her novels are known for their rich character development, psychological depth, moral complexity, and evocative sense of place. Penny’s work often explores themes of kindness, community, trauma, and ethical responsibility alongside intricate crime plots.
