About Author

Pierce Brown is an American author best known for his bestselling Science Fiction series Red Rising. Born in 1988 in Denver, Colorado, Brown studied political science and economics, interests that strongly influence the themes of power, class struggle, and revolution that run through his work. Before publishing his first novel, he worked various jobs while querying agents and refining the manuscript that would become Red Rising (2014).

Brown achieved rapid international success with the Red Rising Saga, which blends dystopian science fiction with space opera and classical myth, centering on a rigid, color-coded caste system and a rebellion against entrenched elites. His writing is noted for its fast pacing, brutal stakes, and emotionally charged characters. With multiple sequels expanding the scope of his universe, Brown has become a prominent voice in contemporary speculative fiction, particularly among crossover Young Adult and adult readers.
