Book Description |
| Down the Slope is a spirited winter adventure starring young Ben Jones, who dreams of winning his town’s annual coasting (sledding) race down the long, icy hill known simply as “the Slope.” Life, however, is not so simple. Between helping support his struggling family, dealing with unfair rivals, and navigating the responsibilities of growing up, Ben must find the courage and perseverance to chase his dream. With good humor, lively action, and a strong moral core, James Otis delivers a story that captures both the thrill of winter fun and the deeper lessons of honesty, determination, and friendship. |
