An Old-Fashioned Girl by Louisa May Alcott is a heartwarming coming-of-age novel that follows Polly Milton, a simple country girl, as she visits her wealthy city friends and struggles to fit into their sophisticated world. Polly’s kindness, honesty, and hardworking nature contrast with the materialism and vanity she encounters, leading her to question societal values. As she grows into a strong and independent young woman, Polly remains true to herself, proving that genuine character and love matter more than wealth and status. A tale of friendship, self-reliance, and personal growth, An Old-Fashioned Girl remains a timeless classic.
